4/6/2024 0 Comments Krishna devotional songs tamilThe next stanza describes the beautiful body of the lord and says, Then she says, come in front of me with peacock feather (mayil peeli) in your hair, wrapped in yellow cloth/peethambar (manja thookil) and playing your flute (manikuzhal oothi kondum) The devotee is saying that she would like to get a darshan (she wants the lord to appear before her) in the way she is describing.įirst line says that she would like to see Krishna bedecked with garlands made from those different flowers - Chethi is a red color flower mostly found in Kerala (look up Ixora Coccinea on Wikipedia), mandaram is a white colored flower (look up Bauhinia on wikipedia), then Tulasi is of course tulasi in telugu or most Indian languages (Holy basil), pichakam is Jasmine (malle poovu in telugu) As Sanatani described it is about Guruvayoorappa (Lord Krishna). With that, here is what, I think, it means. I am no expert in Malayalam, so if someone more knowledgeable than me chimes in, that would be great.
